Kubuntu 9.04 Wifi Bug To Be Fixed?

I’ve been testing a new release of the network manager plasmoid for Kubuntu 9.04, which so far hasn’t been released to the general public. It seems to have fixed most (if not all) of the wireless issues I found during the time I reviewed Kubuntu Jaunty. Hopefully this update hits all of your repositories soon, as it should make Kubuntu useful for those that want to use it on a laptop.

If this issue is solved, it won’t affect the score I gave Kubuntu on my review, because of my policy to review distributions based on how they’re shipped, not what they become in the long run.

Regardless, if the package is released to the general public (which I’m sure it will be at some point) it will greatly improve the wireless portion of Kubuntu 9.04. Make sure you keep installing those updates!
