Windows 7 is right around the corner. (As long as it doesn’t get delayed, that is). Developing news regarding the new OS is all over the news now, and here are a few things I picked up on the web after browsing for just a few minutes.
First, according to Paul Thurrott, Windows 7 will be released 10-15-09. Is this date accurate? Until I see it from Microsoft, I have to consider it speculation of course. However, it sounds about right.
Next, CNet talks about the pricing of Windows 7 and how it may (read: probably will) affect sales. It’s an interesting article regarding Dell seeing the pricing scheme as a possible barrier. (And I am inclined to agree). What do you think about the pricing, and what price would be fair to you?
Finally, I have been checking out Windows 7 for a few weeks now, as I finally gotten it to install on my PC. I will be writing a review on Windows 7 (as it stands now, anyway) and posting that here soon.
Stay tuned!

I seen this the other day -
http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10231122-1.html
and in that article it says about people who buy a new PC within 30 days of Windows 7 coming out get a free upgrade voucher.
Is there any concrete word on the system requirements yet? Hopefully it wont be as resource hungery as Vista and as for the pricing, no doubt Microsoft will be charging an arm and a leg again
@Kingpin:
I will be reviewing the Windows 7 release candidate soon. I’ve been using it since it was released, and I’ve been ready to review it for some time, but I have been busy with other things. In my review, which I think should hit in a week or less as long as everything goes to plan, will answer your questions.
